Behind the scenes at the Zoo

Here comes the big male

My daughter did an internship at this zoo.  (For security reasons, I am not allowed to reveal which zoo).  For a Mother's Day gift, she took me behind the scenes where I got to feed them.

 Best. Gift. Ever

We fed other animals also (see below), but these two rhinos stole my heart.  I could not stop smiling.  Above is the female.

Below is a quilt that I made in 2000.  If this isn't proof that I love these huge animals, nothing is.  I am gifting the quilt to the rhino keeper of these two beautiful animals.

 

Andean Bear

Behind the scenes with the giraffes meant we had to ascend to a high loft area.  This guy walked up to us and he's still taller.  Magnificent. Thank you, Isabel
