Creating negative shapes

I photographed each wired square as I finished them, so I will highlight them as I post.
The one above turned out a bit wonky, but I am not striving for perfection.  Far from it.  Art is hand-made, and my hands are imperfect.
In my Flora and Fauna workshop, we will be sheathing some of our bent wire with translucent substrates.  This one features a used tea bag.  I then bent up more wire and attached it to the surface.  After it dried, I removed the inside of that shape and hung a wire 'flora' inside.  
This involves the viewer in negative shapes with the process of  removal and refilling.
