To A Dear Friend

I've finally begun sewing on my projects again.  My pre-blog-life found me sewing on almost every thing I did with paper.  Reason being, my machine was relocated when I sewed my sweet daughter's quilt.  But that was 2 years ago; I digress.
Along with sewing, I white-washed the printed background with Distress Stain.  I stamped and white
embossed a design at the top when it dried.  The fabric is Rachel Ashwell's Shabby Chic and a piece of muslin.  Also used:  corrugated paper, vintage lace, several spellbinder die cuts, the sentiment is from Pion Designs and three vintage baby buttons.  Hard to see unless you enlarge the picture, but the first tiny button has 3 holes!  Very rare, indeed.  I collect vintage baby buttons; they don't take up as much room as some of my other collections.  :)
