Sewing time...Lagenlook

There are few styles that I identify myself with (especially when using the word 'style' - yuck).  I know what I like when I see it.  This time is no different from any other when I find something I like:  I make my own.  Things just mean more to me when hand wrought.
My 'style' that I'm referring to is Lagenlook.  Pure comfort with a little bit Hippy thrown in, with a nod to simpler days gone by.
The jacket in the first picture is an upcycled button down cotton shirt.  The front piece was the lower back part of the shirt.  I sewed on a bit of vintage lace to that front panel.  The one just above is made from 100% cotton Gauze that was actually a table cloth I had.
They are not 100% Linen, which is the creme d 'la creme of Lagenlook fabric.  Thought I'd practice a bit first.

These were my first two efforts in Lagenlook.  I have since made a few more that I will post as I photograph them.  Thanks for reading.  Anni

  1. WOW! Ilove both looks. While I admire this look, I'm not sure if I can pull it off myself. A little short and round and this "seems" a little tall and lean. Still, I've followed your posts on Pinterest with avid interest and these creations of your own really inspire. Nice job!
